About MeMy name is Robert Gerard Holohan, known as Gerard. I am a mature (some would question that) student on the BSc(Hons) in Software Development.I am an original alumnus of Carlow Regional Technical College, having graduated for the first time in 1986 with a National Certificate in Computer Programming I have been working in the IT industry since then, holding various roles in Hardware and Software installation and maintenance. I lived and worked in the Isle of Man for 2 years, an experience worth repeating Currently, my work is quite varied but still involves elements of hardware and software support. However, a significant amount of my work now involves software development. In particular, I am involved in web development, integrating data solutions in Oracle and Microsoft SQL. Outside of work, I enjoy photography (mostly wildlife). I have 2 dogs that keep me busy and I am also an amateur spoken word performer and host. |
