This is my Final Year Project. My Final Year Project is on Sentiment Analysis of Social Media, with the help of Greg Doyle, my supervisor. The purpose of this project was to try and derive the emotion behind a users tweet on twitter using Tweepy API. This Project allows the user to enter in a word or term and the application will return the sentiment analysis of the related terms. I picked this project because i thought it would be fun to try and understand something like sentiment analysis using machine learning algorithms as it was a topic i was currently learning, i also had a interest in using the twitter API. I used SKLearn and Keras for the LSTM (Long Short Term Memory) machine learning algorithm. I also used Flask and SQLAlchemy for the backend of my python application.
