Flora & Animals UNiversal Application

About

Not everyone is an expert on the dangerous flora and fauna of an area they visit, especially tourists.

Using Machine Learning, we can identify the animal or plant through the camera on your phone, and see if it's dangerous. And instead of using a database to store the information, we are using OpenAI's ChatGPT 3-5 turbo and DALLE to get the information and pictures of the plants and animals.

Technology

I used these technologies to develop the app:

- Android Studio IDE
- Kotlin
- Tensorflow
- Keras
- Jupyter Notebooks
- Python
- Java
- R
- R Studio
- R markdown (RMD)
- OpenAI api
- Convolution Neural Networks (CNNs)
- Firebase
- Anaconda
- Open Street Map
- Git / GitHub

How it works

Using Machine Learning we can identify whether an animal or plant is venomous or poisonous. And, provide some helpful info.

Using the app, you can take a picture, and get a classification of it, along with information on how dangerous it is. You can select from Snakes, Spiders, and Dangerous Plants (more categories may be added later, and improved models). For more information on how to use the app, please view the User Manual.
