Introduction

As part of our 4th year course in IT Management we as a group have been assigned to come up with a project on the concept of “IT Solutions for a better world”. In this report we will show how our project will address the issues of the carbon footprint in Ireland and provide a viable solution to reduce the carbon emissions in the long run. Transport in Ireland is considered to be one of the highest emitters of CO2. Our project will tackle the automobile industry and also provide an alternative solution to the use of public transport which we hope will encourage the use of electricity powered means transport.

We have come up with an alternative eco-friendly transport system in cities like Dublin that will reduce the CO2 emissions. We believe this will be a strong contribution to the betterment of the environment not only in Ireland but in the entire world as this idea has unlimited potential. Our alternative transportation system involves the implementation of electric vehicle share system such as electric scooters across highest populated cities in Ireland such as Dublin.
