About this Project:
The European Accessibility Act is a set of guidelines for European based organisations being released in June of this year, in which they must make products and services more accessible. Despite the steadily approaching deadline, not enough is being done to prepare.
This project is a website that consolidates these guidelines into more manageable bites of information with provided examples of each guideline, for organisations to make it easier to understand and implement into their own websites. This website also follows these guidelines wherever possible, to further demonstrate best accessibility practices.
The project website also focuses on Security Vulnerabilities in relation to these Accessibility features, and how poor implementation may lead to vulnerabilities in the future. By teaching organisations how each feature works, it can then give them the knowledge to avoid threats to their security.
Finally, it also displays the results of surveys that European Organisations undertook in order to gather information about their current knowledge in relation to the legislation, as well as what it is they wish to know in regards to the implementations of the required guidelines.
It should be mentioned that the scope of this project has changed quite a bit throughout the year, due to time and skill constraints. The original documents will be provided for transparancy, but may not match with the end product.
