As food delivery businesses are growing rapidly, despite and in some cases, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, there is an increasing number of delivery drivers on the roads. The growth of online ordering sites such as Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats have only added to this. Driver safety also comes into concern for multiple reasons such as, the driver carrying large amounts of cash which puts them at potential risk of robbery and at an increased chance of being infected with Covid-19 virus.
Our requirements for this project were:
1. Improve operational efficiency in delivery by optimising delivery order sequence.
2. Improve operational efficiency in the kitchen.
3. Improve driver safety by incorporating contactless payments.
